Fixed-Term, Part-time & Hybrid working

PSC Creative College is seeking a Sessional Course Writer/Lecturer - Fashion to develop and deliver engaging online learning for our new Diploma of Fashion Design.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fashion educator and industry professional who enjoys developing high-quality learning experiences and mentoring emerging designers. You'll play a key role in shaping PSC's Fashion program, developing online course content for two foundation Diploma subjects while delivering online tutorials that bring learning to life.

Beyond teaching, this role offers the opportunity to become a subject matter expert within a growing discipline, contributing to the ongoing development and future direction of Fashion at PSC Creative College!

  • Contract period: 18 August – 18 December 2026
  • Time commitment: 14 hours per week
  • Location: Hybrid / Remote (Melbourne-based preferred)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Developing engaging online learning content for two Diploma of Fashion Design subjects.
  • Translating industry knowledge into practical, accessible learning materials for foundation-level students.
  • Creating weekly learning activities, demonstrations, resources and assessment support materials.
  • Delivering two live online tutorials each week, guiding students through practical and creative learning activities.
  • Providing constructive feedback and supporting students throughout their learning journey.
  • Collaborating with the course team to refine subject content and contribute to the ongoing development of PSC's Fashion program.

Qualifications

About You

You're an experienced fashion industry professional and educator who enjoys developing engaging learning experiences and helping emerging designers build practical, industry-ready skills.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Diploma qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline (Bachelor's degree or higher preferred).
  • 5+ years' experience in fashion design, garment production or a related industry.
  • Experience developing online course content or educational resources.
  • Strong knowledge of fashion design, garment production, patternmaking and contemporary industry practices.
  • Experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

Highly Desirable:

  • Teaching, training or mentoring experience, ideally in higher or vocational education.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain creative and technical concepts clearly.
  • Experience developing content for online learning platforms.
  • A student-centred approach and passion for developing emerging creative professionals.
  • An interest in contributing to the growth and future direction of PSC Creative College's Fashion program.
