The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team in Vaughan, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our top-line growth, profitability, and free cash flow, while minimizing bad debt risk and ensuring compliance with company payment terms.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Review customer accounts in accordance with credit policy.
  • Proactively contact delinquent customers via phone and email to secure payments or commitments.
  • Develop and maintain a structured collection follow-up process.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve credit and collections issues.
  • Investigate and resolve customer deductions and chargebacks; determine credit eligibility.
  • Manage and resolve disputes through consistent follow-up until resolution.
  • Collaborate with sales and credit teams to address credit limit concerns with minimal customer disruption.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Release customer orders daily.
  • Perform account reconciliations and assist with cash application as needed.
  • Escalate high-risk or problematic accounts to the Credit Manager.
  • Support additional credit-related tasks as required.

 

Qualifications

 

  • College or university degree.
  • CCP designation or enrollment in the CCP program is required
  • 3–5 years of B2B relevant experience in credit and collections.
  • Strong understanding of receivables management principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with JD Edwards is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French is an asset but not required.
