MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide effective disinfection, inspection, assembly, sterilisation, storage and distribution of medical and surgical items to operating theatres and wards in line with company quality and patient safety standards and regulatory requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To ensure sterilisation and related activities for medical and surgical items are performed as per company standard and in compliance with regulatory requirements

Accurate records are kept and relevant document audits are performed as per policy

To provide input into CSSD quality improvement initiatives

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

A recognised CSSD qualification from an accredited institution

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

At least 4 years relevant experience in a CSSD department

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a CSSD Technician with the relevant healthcare authority in the UAE

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Sterilisation principles and practices
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Infection prevention and control protocols
