The Role

We’re looking for two proactive and friendly Customer Care Consultants to join our supportive team at our Mackay Trade Store!

This is a front-of-house, customer-facing role where you’ll be the first point of contact in-store. We’re seeking someone with solid retail/customer service experience who is comfortable engaging with customers face-to-face and working closely within a team to keep the store running efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide face-to-face customer service as the primary focus of the role
• Assist customers with product selection and provide practical advice on industrial products
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organised shopfloor
• Support stock replenishment, stocktakes, and merchandising activities
• Safely handle and move stock (including items up to required weight limits)
• Identify and escalate customer or operational issues when needed
• Work collaboratively to maintain a safe, efficient, and supportive team environment

Our Ideal Candidate will have

• Previous experience in retail, trade, or customer-facing roles (or a willingness to start in the retail industry)
• Strong face-to-face communication skills and customer service manner
• Proactive and reliable personality traits with an emphasis on wanting to make your workplace better
• Physically capable of handling stock safely (according to WA workplace guidelines)
• Values and integrity in line with Blackwoods
