KiwiRail is hiring a Customer Host in Wellington for a term, 30 hours per week, until April 2027, at $30.42 per hour. You’ll deliver a professional experience for Scenic and Scenic Plus passengers, serving food, helping with luggage, and safety updates during disruptions. This fast-paced, physical role on a train requires energy, good health, and ability to lift up to 20 kg. You’ll make every journey memorable by providing warm, professional service — from serving high-quality food and beverages to helping passengers with luggage and keeping them informed during disruptions. Your polished presentation and positive attitude will represent the very best of our brand.
This is a fast-paced, physical role on board a moving train, requiring energy, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to passenger care. Due to the nature of the position, we welcome applications from those aged 18 years and over.
