Auckland One Rail is recruiting 12 Customer Service Ambassadors for a three month fixed-term role from mid August to mid November 2026 to support customers as the City Rail Link opens. You’ll be at frontline locations near Waitematā Britomart, Te Waihorotiu and Karanga a Hape, helping with wayfinding, journey planning, information during normal operations and disruptions, and assisting accessibility needs while keeping a welcoming presence. Shifts are four hours, Monday to Friday, covering morning or afternoon peaks; full training will be provided, including first aid and fire warden. To stand out, demonstrate genuine customer passion, calm proactive problem solving, comfort with smartphones and radios, and fitness for stairs, plus readiness for pre-employment checks and multi stage interviews. We're looking for 12 customer-focused people to join our team as Customer Service Ambassadors (CSA) on a three-month fixed-term basis, commencing mid-August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the biggest transport project in Aotearoa as we prepare for the opening of the City Rail Link (CRL) in Tāmaki Makaurau. As a CSA, you'll play a key role in supporting customers across the Auckland rail network, helping them navigate changes, providing information and assistance, and delivering a positive customer experience as we begin the new CRL journey.
Whether you're assisting customers at stations, supporting major events and network changes, or helping people feel confident using public transport, you'll be at the frontline of Auckland's rail transformation.

About the Opportunity
These positions are part of a dedicated team supporting the transition toward the opening of Auckland's City Rail Link.
Your three-month fixed-term contract will run from mid-August to mid-November 2026, providing additional customer support during this important phase of operational readiness and customer engagement.
You'll work across key stations including Waitematā/Britomart, Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape. This role would suit anyone living in or near the city centre, close to these central stations.
Hours
Shifts are four hours long, Monday to Friday, helping to cover either the morning or afternoon peak period each day.
Training
Full training will be provided, including customer service training, first aid training, fire warden training and CRL relevant training.

Recruitment Process
