We are currently looking for team members to join our Customer Service team, helping to ensure our customers receive friendly, efficient service. These roles will also include overseeing the completion of all end-of day tasks for the Customer Service department.

Key Accountabilities:
Operational:
- Ensure that the customer service departments daily disciplines are completed to the agreed standard
- Maintain efficiency at the checkout and follow store procedures
- Monitor and control security and the flow of customers through the checkouts
- Ensure all legislative requirements are strictly adhered to by the customer service staff
- Maintain a high level of personal presentation and actively engage with customers
- Provide a high level of Customer Service by keeping up to date with product knowledge, promotional information and providing accurate advice to customers
- Compliance with Food Hygiene and Food Safety Standards
Cultural:
- Adhere to all New World Gore policies and procedures.
- Follow all store loss prevention procedures and rules and be aware of shoplifters and report suspicious activity or observed shoplifting incidents immediately.
- Contribute to a positive working environment
- Commit to maintaining a strong safety culture where all are accountable to ensure the workplace is a safe environment for everyone in it.
- Provide support to all new and existing staff members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Skills/Behaviours Required
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail or customer service environment.
- Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a calm, professional, and positive attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all customer transactions.
- Demonstrated commitment to Food Safety and Health & Safety standards, ensuring all policies and procedures are consistently followed.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Takes ownership of responsibilities and demonstrates accountability for actions, decisions, and outcomes.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
