The role deploys and operates data center infrastructure, troubleshoots and repairs servers and hardware, installs networking components, and performs preventative maintenance while safeguarding data security. You must lift 50 lb, work in physically demanding shifts, and cover non standard hours including nights and weekends. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Google IT Support Professional Certificate, two years of diagnostic experience in OS, hardware or networking, and data center exposure. As an Operations Technician, you'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware (like servers and its components) and server software (like Google's Linux cluster).
