McAuley Community Services for Women seeks a Part-time Data & Insights Specialist to design data systems and reporting that strengthen services and inform funding decisions. In Footscray, you’ll report to the Head of Innovation and translate data into practical outcomes, promoting safer futures. Responsibilities: timely reporting, data quality improvements, tracking trends, building data literacy across teams, and identifying risks and opportunities. Ideal candidates have data systems and outcomes measurement experience plus quantitative and qualitative analysis; BI exposure is a plus. The role is 22.8 hours per week, with Criminal History and Working with Children checks required. An exciting opportunity is available for a Data & Insights Specialist to join our team in our Footscray office.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Data & Insights Specialist, you’ll design and deliver impactful data systems, insights and reporting that strengthen services, inform decisions, and support innovation.

Working with the Head of Innovation & Business Development, you’ll help shape a culture of evidence, quality, and continuous improvement - turning data into meaningful outcomes that support safer, more stable futures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reporting & Insights - Deliver timely, accurate reports to inform planning, funding, and advocacy
• Data Quality & Improvement - Improve data quality, consistency, and reporting processes
• Sector Insights - Monitor trends across family violence, homelessness, and wellbeing sectors
• Collaboration & Capability - Partner with teams to build data literacy and practical use of data
• Analysis & Impact - Identify trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities to drive better outcomes
• Project Support - Contribute to projects and initiatives as required

This is a Part Time (22.8 hours per week) ongoing opportunity based in our McAuley office – Footscray, VIC.

• Exposure to analytics and AI tools (e.g. Power BI, M365) would be beneficial, along with an appreciation for ethical, safe, and responsible data use.
• Some experience working with data systems, outcomes measurement, and analysis is desirable, with the ability to draw insights from both quantitative and qualitative information.
• Experience using empirical or quantitative research methods would be a plus, but not essential.
