Job Summary:
The Audubon Survey Data Technician is responsible for collecting, processing, and managing survey data to support pipeline, engineering, construction, and land development projects. This role requires the Survey Data Technician to support multiple survey crews while also interfacing with the survey project manager to ensure timely receipt and process of survey data in a Civil3d environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record, organize, and verify survey data received from multiple survey crews
- Download, process, and perform quality checks on collected data
- Assist survey crews with layout, staking, and as-built data collection
- Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure data meets project requirements
- Prepare field notes, reports, and documentation for project records
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in survey data
- Interface with third party teams such as construction, inspection, right of way, etc. to support on going project efforts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in surveying, geomatics, or related field preferred)
- Experience with survey equipment (Trimble, Leica, Topcon, etc.)
- Familiarity with survey software and data processing tools such as Trimble Business Center, Trimble Pipeline Module, AutoCAD Civil3d
- Understanding of surveying principles and construction practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license

Must have experience with some or all of the following concepts:
- Pipeline Tally Files
- Pipeline Module
- Material Test Reports (MTR)
- Asbuilt pipeline surveying processes
- As-built Directional Drill / Bore calculations
- Deed plotting
- General One-Call Procedures
- Familiarity with Trimble Feature Code Library (FXL)
- Familiarity with Asbuilt Isometric Sketches
- Familiarity with Alignment sheets
- Knowledge of coordinate systems and data management workflows
- Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
Software Platforms:

- ESRI Arc Desktop / Arc Pro (optional)
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based environment, with possibly voluntary field assignment(s)
- May require travel to project sites and extended work hours depending on project needs
