Within one year, complete 15 hours of PQAS training in Early Childhood Education; one year of related experience preferred; knowledge of ASQ, Ounce Scale, Work Sampling, DHS/ERS/NAEYC standards is a plus. In the absence of a team member, works with the classroom team by creating a caring and safe environment for the children and assists in all learning activities to facilitate the overall care and quality of education. The Substitute must communicate effectively, actively listen, and work well with others in different settings in order to relay appropriate information accordingly. Maintaining positive relationships with children, staff and families is essential to facilitating continuity of care. Under the direction of the Lead Teacher, the Substitute sustains day-to-day responsibilities related to the learning environment including personal care routines, health and safety practices, and supervision of children. Serves as a positive role-model to children and upholds program-wide values and other center quality initiatives through professional conduct. Required within 90 days of hire: Pediatric First Aid CPR and Mandated Reporter Training. Mandated Reporter Training to be maintained every 5 years. Fire Safety Training required within a year of hire.Education

Experience
