We’re looking for Deli & Bakery Assistants to join our team at New World Te Atatu. If you enjoy working with fresh food, take pride in presentation, and love helping customers, this is a great opportunity to be part of a vibrant and fast-paced store. 

  • Part-time & Full-time permanent roles  

  • Roles commencing 3rd August 2026  

  • One weekend day working required 

Te Tūranga – About the role 

  • Prepare and pack bakery products to a high standard, ensuring quality and consistency 

  • Price products accurately and maintain clear, correct ticketing 

  • Merchandise displays so they are full, fresh, and visually appealing 

  • Prepare fresh food such as sandwiches, salads, and other deli items 

  • Cook and present hot food, including rotisserie chickens 

  • Serve customers with friendly, knowledgeable service and product recommendations 

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace at all times 

  • Meet and exceed food safety and hygiene standards 

  • Work collaboratively across both departments, contributing to a high-performing team
