What you'll be doing

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

  • Supporting our clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures
  • Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining high standards of infection control
  • Sterilising instruments and ensuring equipment is ready for use
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and treatment notes
  • Monitoring and replenishing clinical supplies
  • Helping create a safe, efficient, and well-organised clinical environment

Reception Responsibilities

  • Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service
  • Managing patient appointments and diaries
  • Handling patient enquiries both in person and over the phone
  • Processing payments and daily banking
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and administration
  • Supporting the wider team to deliver a seamless patient experience

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, Receptionist, or in a similar healthcare support role
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence using digital systems and practice management software
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
  • The ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A professional, positive, and patient-focused approach
  • Previous dental industry experience will be highly regarded
  • Valid NZ work right
