Moranbah North Mine

Anglo American are currently recruiting multiple Deputy / ERZ Controller positions at Moranbah North Mine based in Moranbah, Queensland.

You will be accountable for driving, leading and coaching the crews to ensure the site operational plans are implemented and delivered whilst maintaining a diligent focus on safety. Your zero-harm mindset will be forefront of everything you do. This role sees you accountable for managing the safety, productivity, and reporting of all personnel and resources.

Key responsibilities will include, not limited to:

  • Provide effective leadership of the operational teams in accordance with the daily plan.
  • Direct, control and manage mine performance within the shift/day to ensure high standards of safety, quality and productivity are achieved.
  • Be accountable for driving, leading, and coaching the crews to ensure the site operational plans are implemented and delivered whilst maintaining a focus on safety.
  • Contribute to the ongoing management of a reliable short-term mine plan and continually seek to identify areas for improvement to ensure operational excellence is achieved.
  • Identify process improvements and ensure effective communication to relevant stakeholders across the business. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience working within the underground coal mining industry with demonstrated understanding of the coal mining process and the relevant mining legislation.

Relevant skills, knowledge and experience required for this role include:

  • You will have a minimum 5 years' experience working within the underground coal mining industry with demonstrated understanding of the coal mining process and the relevant mining legislation.
  • A current Queensland 3rd Class Certificate of Competency (Deputy's Ticket) or an ability to obtain one through mutual recognition is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in knowledge production planning principles and maintenance strategies to ensure work packages are planned and finalised within cost and time constraints.
