Job Description

As a Despatch Coordinator at WM New Zealand, you will play a crucial role in the efficient coordination of fleet scheduling, driver management, and the safe handling of hazardous and medical waste. Your responsibilities will involve dispatching jobs ensuring customer needs are met, balancing driver workloads, monitoring routes and ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

What's Involved:

  • Dispatching jobs to drivers to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery, while prioritizing customer needs.
  • Balancing driver workloads and monitoring routes to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Ensuring drivers have all necessary paperwork and equipment for safe waste collection, including hazardous and medical waste.
  • Monitoring and managing jobs that have been rescheduled by drivers, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
  • Setting up customer accounts and entering details into the system for new or modified service agreements.
  • Responding to customer queries and concerns via phone or email, providing timely and accurate information and assistance.

Qualifications

About you

To be successful in this role you will have proven customer service experience in a fast-paced environment. You also bring a proactive and positive attitude and the ability to instantly build rapport with customers.

You are customer-centric, a strong relationship builder, flexible, have high attention to detail and good time management. Experience in using MS Office especially Word and Excel are also essential for this role.
