Emarat is seeking a Despatcher to maintain operations at the main compressor station on an assigned shift, managing start ups and shut downs, routine equipment operation and patrols of gas turbines, compressors, generators and support systems while issuing permits and overseeing maintenance to ensure safe execution. You will perform electrical and mechanical isolation, conduct gas tests for hot work, monitor work against permit conditions and take swift corrective action in emergencies, keeping the Senior Despatcher informed by radio. Health and safety are central, aiming for an incident free environment and ongoing safe work practices. Requirements include a Diploma or Degree, at least 2 years in natural gas control room operations, and strong communication and IT skills. To maintain operating activities at the main compressor station on assigned shift involving start-up, shutdown and routine operation of a variety of equipment. Performs patrol duties at pre-determined intervals to check operating condition of equipment and report abnormalities. Perform mechanical & operational isolation, Issue permit for all maintenance activities and ensure that the site maintenance work is carried out safely. 

Key Accountabilities

Operations: 

• Carries out regular patrols of the compressor station to observe operation of equipment such as Gas turbines, Compressors, Generators, Chillers, Fin fan coolers, Filters & Separators and report to Senior Despatcher. 
• Carries out electrical and mechanical isolation of equipment in preparation of permit to work. 
• Carries out Gas tests for hot work and vessel entry and signs work request for approval of supervisor prior to commencement of work. Monitors maintenance work to ensure it is carried out safely and in accordance with work permit condition.
• Takes immediate corrective action in the event of an emergency and notifies senior despatcher immediately by radio of any urgent situation 

Health & Safety: 

• Ensures incident free environment through maintaining a strong safety culture
• Monitor the progress of safe work processes as per the operating procedures and to ensure safety operation and plant integrity.
• Ensures compliance to health, safety and environmental excellence procedures and controls for activities under assigned Section for employee safety, 
• Act as a rescue member during in emergencies. 

Qualifications / Requirements

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Control Room in Natural Gas Operations

Education:

• Diploma Degree (3 Year) 

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience within Natural Gas Control Room operations.

Competencies:

• Excellent communication
• IT literate
