In this role, you'll have the opportunity to focus on financial and feasibility analyses for a variety of projects currently underway as well as assist in the sourcing of new development projects. In addition, you’ll have extensive opportunities to collaborate with the asset, investment, portfolio, and property management teams. This role will work across all asset classes (office, retail, industrial, and residential) in the Eastern Canada region.
RESPONBILITIES
Analysis + Data Management
• Financial analysis and underwriting for development projects
• Reviewing budget assumptions and assisting with revenue & expense assumptions
• Assemble data rooms and handle follow up information requests
• Consolidate key data for various reports
• Prepare departmental reports, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting to support business planning and decision-making
• Track, process, and coordinate invoices and purchase orders (POs)

Collaboration + Strategy
• Assist with approvals, reporting processes, and policy compliance
• Support the new business team during the feasibility, acquisition, rezoning, and predevelopment cycles
• Collaborate with various departments to develop pro-formas, sensitivity analysis, and cash flow projections
• Coordinate with various 3rd party consultants to both summarize and maintain information

Presentation + Research
• Maintain financial models and provide recommendations for on-going improvements (after all, we will rely on your expertise!)
• Assist with opportunity summaries, deal recommendations, and associated updates
• Influence strategy and decisions by providing compelling data-based rationales
• Stay on top of industry trends and conduct market research

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Must have expert-level MS Excel and quantitative skills
• Must have excellent communication and relationship building skills
• University degree ideally in business, finance, accounting, or economics
Preferred
• 1+ year of experience in real estate analysis
• Argus experience and/or exposure
• Strong attention to detail but also able to thrive in a fast paced and high-volume environment
• An entrepreneurial spirit – after all, this is a brand-new role - you will have leeway to make it your own!
