Guidelines
• The Landscape Design manager shall support the Landscape Director whilst managing design consultants to achieve design quality and constructability
• The Landscape Design Manager shall undertake a design lead for small and medium-sized projects, taking responsibility for the key assets and general arrangement of the layouts.
• The Landscape Design Manager acts as the key coordination point with ED/Director, consultants and contractors, and is required to assist in design works, attend meetings and ensure the design intent is maintained.
Sustainability
• Deliver on the sustainability ambition of Dubai Masterplan 2040.
• Good understanding of other related design, engineering and construction disciplines with an ability to review project work performed by other engineers/disciplines including wet/dry services coordination, quantities, costs, the accuracy of specifications, completeness and constructability.
Cost & Time
• On time completion and approval of all landscape components within a master planning development.
• To be flexible in the context of market fluctuations, changing budgets and project types from Legacy to New-Build projects.
Quality
• The Landscape Design Manager will have key input to Development projects under creative design and technical deliverables from consultants.
. Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: • University Degree – BA(Hons), DipLA or equivalent in Landscape Design
• Possess professional registration, licensure or chartership with an internationally recognized professional association; desirable, not essential
• Excellent job references and reputation
Minimum Experience (number of years): • Minimum ten (10+) years of continuous experience in landscape architecture; preferably with both Developer and Consultancy roles. International experience in Middle East and Asia is advantageous.
• Fluency in design software- CAD, Revit and BIM, Adobe Creative Suite; Sketch-Up, MS Office and latest design tools and technologies
Job Specific Skills: • Strong conceptual design abilities whilst constantly looking for creative ways to address challenges and improve design outcomes
• A strong commitment to environmentally sustainable and resilient landscape designs
• Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
