Guidelines
• Ensures compliance with company design philosophy, technical guidelines and Projects/ DCM requirements.
• The Technical Manager acts as the primary decision-making and interaction point with Third Party Stakeholders, consultants and contractors, and as such is required to attend official meetings.
• Ability to use advanced professional knowledge combined with contractual, technical and commercial abilities to guide all stakeholders to deliver pre and post contract landscape works to expectations of Master Developer, clients and as per technical and financial terms of the project brief
Sustainability
• Deliver on the sustainability ambition of Dubai Masterplan 2040.
• Good working knowledge of horticulture and environmental & life sciences, as well as materials, equipment, technologies and workmanship relevant to landscape construction projects; staying abreast of latest related developments as they relate to landscape design projects.
Cost & Time
• On time completion and approval of all landscape components within a master planning development.
Quality
• Ability to use extensive professional expertise to manage projects and to oversee and manage multiple medium to large scale projects of increasing degree of complexity, size and value
• Advanced level of understanding and working knowledge of other related design, engineering and construction disciplines with an ability to review and challenge works performed by the technical team and other disciplines
. Qualifications, Experiences, Skills
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: • University Degree – BA(Hons), DipLA or equivalent in Landscape Design
• Possess professional registration, licensure or chartership with an internationally recognized professional association; desirable, not essential
• Excellent job references and reputation
Minimum Experience (number of years): • Minimum ten (10+) years of continuous experience in landscape architecture; preferably with both Developer and Consultancy roles. International experience in Middle East and Asia is advantageous.
• Good Computer & IT skills including knowledge of CAD, Revit and BIM, Adobe Creative Suite; Sketch-Up, MS Office and latest design tools and technologies
Job Specific Skills: • Ability to use advanced project management skills to direct, lead and oversee multidisciplinary consultancy teams and project-manage large-scale projects
• To be able to manage feedback from multiple stakeholders (DCM, Projects, Development, Assets, Sales/Marketing etc) leadership tiers (CDO, CEO, Chairman), alongside company developed aesthetic and technical guidelines
• A strong commitment to environmentally sustainable and resilient landscape designs
• Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during the design and construction phases.
