Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is hiring a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant at Seven Oaks General Hospital onsite, 0.70 FTE with evenings and weekends and 7.75 hours per shift. The role supports Diagnostic Imaging operations through patient transport, lifts and transfers, clerical duties, inventory, film processing and linen handling, under the direction of the Administrative Director. Requirements include a Health Care Aide certificate, minimum Grade 10, current BCLS, and 1 to 2 years relevant experience, preferably in a Diagnostic Imaging setting. Applicants should be able to lift and transfer patients, communicate clearly, and work cooperatively. Under the direction of the Administrative Director, Diagnostic Imaging Services and the Diagnostic Imaging technical staff, performs a variety of Diagnostic Imaging support functions including, but not limited to, patient transport, patient lifts, moves and transfers, clerical duties, supply inventory, film processing and handling functions, clean and soiled linen handling services and other related duties. Maintains a positive and cooperative working relationship with all contacts within the facility and functions in support of the hospital's Mission, Vision and Values statements.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
