Jackson Group Peterbilt in Great Falls, MT is hiring a full-time Diesel Truck Technician, onsite. You’ll diagnose and repair diesel trucks, perform routine maintenance on transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspensions and HVAC, and work on heavy equipment such as excavators and Caterpillar machinery. A dealership background and strong diagnostic skills are a plus, with emphasis on customer service and clear communication. You must hold a valid driver's license and CDL and be able to lift heavy objects, perform tire service, welding and operate industrial equipment, and work in non climate controlled conditions; basic computer skills to access schematics are required. Responsibilities
- Perform automotive diagnostics on diesel trucks, utilizing mechanical knowledge and hand tools to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular vehicle maintenance tasks, including working on transmissions, air brakes, alignments, hydraulics, suspensions, and HVAC systems.
- Utilize dealership experience and premium skills to work on a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, Caterpillar machinery, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Provide exceptional customer service while servicing vehicles, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks as needed and perform tire services, welding, and soldering when required.
- Operate and maintain industrial equipment efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
- Possess a valid driver's license and CDL to operate vehicles, including Caterpillar machinery.
- Utilize computer skills to access schematics and efficiently diagnose and repair equipment.

Basic Qualifications
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 years’ experience as a general technician in a dealership or related truck service facility
