Job Description

As a Digital Engineering Intern, you will assist with model production, information management, coordination and light automation under the guidance of experienced digital coordinators and BIM leads, gaining hands‑on experience with industry‑leading tools and processes. 

How you’ll make a difference: 

• Assist with 3D/BIM modelling by placing and editing elements, applying naming standards, and preparing model exports under supervision. 
• Help create 2D drawings and 3D content for utility networks in Revit, AutoCAD, or 12d using templates and QA procedures. 
• Support the BIM Execution Plan by organizing data environment folders, following naming conventions, and maintaining version control logs. 
• Contribute to clash detection in Navisworks by running tests, tagging clashes, and generating reports for engineers. 
• Update models and drawings based on mark-ups and revisions, recording changes and adhering to project standards. 
• Explore basic automation with Python and Dynamo to streamline tasks, documenting scripts and results with guidance.

Qualifications

• Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity. 
• Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally with coding skills. 
• Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 – 19 February 2027. 
• Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in New Zealand before applying.
