Position Title: Director of Product Technology

Base Salary: $165,000 to $200,000 annually DOE

Bonus: Target annual bonus

Job Summary

As the senior leader for Business Intelligence, you will define and deliver the next generation data and analytics for a growing fiber communications company. This senior leader will transform data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the organization.

The Director of Business Intelligence will own the Business Intelligence (BI) roadmap, data governance strategy, reporting infrastructure, and analytics enablement across departments. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, technical depth, business acumen, and team leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Vision

· Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics team.

· Develop and execute a company-wide Business Intelligence strategy aligned with corporate objectives

· Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing data-driven insights to influence business decisions.

· Establish a culture of data-driven decision-making across all departments.

Analytics & Insights

· Oversee development of executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, and operational reporting.

· Lead advanced analytics initiatives including predictive modeling, forecasting, segmentation, and scenario analysis.

· Ensure data is accessible, trustworthy, and actionable for stakeholders.

· Translate complex analytical outputs into clear executive narratives that inform strategy and measurable business outcomes.

AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement

· Own the vision, strategy, and execution of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI initiatives across the organization.

· Partner with business leaders to operationalize AI use cases such as predictive modeling, customer churn prediction, demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and automation.

· Establish governance standards for AI model lifecycle management, including monitoring, retraining, explainability, and risk mitigation.

· Drive adoption of AI-powered tools (e.g., generative AI, automated insights platforms) to increase productivity and decision velocity.

· Educate executive and operational stakeholders on AI capabilities, limitations, and ROI expectations.

Data Infrastructure & Governance

· Partner with Engineering/IT to ensure scalable data architecture and modern BI tools.

· Implement and enforce data governance standards, definitions, and quality controls.

· Drive improvements in data pipelines, warehouse design, and semantic modeling.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work closely with multiple business unit teams to identify analytical opportunities.

· Help define and standardize KPIs across departments.

· Support strategic planning, budgeting, and performance tracking initiatives.

Operation Excellence

· Establish SLAs for reporting and analytics deliverables.

· Optimize BI processes for efficiency and scalability.

· Ensure that best practices, BI platforms and analytics tools are being leveraged to accelerate time to decisions and ensure scalability for aggressive growth path.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. leadership roles within data science, business intelligence, or strategy roles.

· Minimum of ten (10) years of overall technology experience, including five (5) years of progressive leadership roles within data science, business intelligence, or strategy roles.

· Proven ability to translate business strategy into measurable analytics frameworks .

· Strong executive communication and storytelling skills

· Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

· Strong expertise in SQL and modern BI tools, platforms, and data warehousing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Advance degree in related field.

· Experience in telecommunications or high technology organization.

· Background in predictive analytics or data science.

· Familiarity with data governance best practices and regulatory compliance.

· Direct experience implementing KPIs and improvements in:

o Customer churn & retention

o ARPU optimization

o Fiber expansion & network ROI modeling

o Subscriber growth & penetration

o Network performance analytics

o CAC & LTV modeling

o Capacity planning

o Regulatory reporting
