Role

We are looking for a Director of Business Operations - People & Culture to join our team. This role is based in San Jose, CA (onsite Tuesday-Thursday), reporting to the VP, People Operations in the People & Culture (P&C) department. As the Director of Business Operations for P&C, you will be the "operating system" for our HR organization, managing our business rhythms to drive execution of our strategy through goal setting and tracking, KPI measurement and insights, and special projects. This role requires dynamic range, navigating seamlessly between high-level strategy and hands-on execution across all functions and levels of leadership. You aren't just managing tasks; you are architecting the cadence, clarity, and accountability that allow our People Leadership Team (PLT) to execute at scale. 

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

  • Act as a strategic partner to the PLT to refine strategy and translate high-level goals into prioritized quarterly actions.
  • Orchestrate the business rhythm by leading OKR management, facilitating high-impact executive reviews, and operationalizing the annual operations calendar across P&C 
  • Collect, maintain, and monitor P&C’s key performance results thru dashboards to produce rich and relevant insights, and make high-quality data-driven decisions.
  • Lead critical cross-functional special initiatives and co-create solutions with seniors leaders across Zscaler.
  • Represent the People & Culture function within the broader business operations community to ensure a "no surprises" environment through proactive collaboration.

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Operations or Strategy supporting VP-level leaders
  • Proven ability to manage complex business rhythms with a sense of urgency and velocity
  • Demonstrated experience with OKR management and leading end-to-end strategic planning cycles
  • Strong proficiency in developing data-driven dashboards and executive-level communications
  • Ability to strategize on an end state while remaining willing to execute tactical details regardless of level

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Proven track record of navigating and influencing within a global People & Culture or HR organization

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
