An Osbit Draughtsperson is a highly dedicated, and detail-focused individual, who has a passion for bringing exciting engineering systems to life using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Renowned for their strong eye for detail and excellent technical drawing skill, the Osbit Draughtsperson is able to translate an engineering team’s vision into innovative and well-formulated 2D and 3D drawings.
As well as being technically skilled, the Osbit Draughtsperson is highly organised and can manage their workload to meet the demands of each system’s exacting project schedule.
The Osbit Draughtsperson relishes the opportunity to work on different types of technology and plays a crucial part in ensuring we deliver each project On Spec, to Budget, and In Time - OSBIT.
- Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Autodesk package) to produce 2D and 3D drawings and models.
- Calculate dimensions and material requirements.
- Create engineering drawings based on the recommendations of Osbit Engineers.
- Be responsible for producing fabrication drawings upon request, to the relevant standards and procedures.
- Support the maintenance of our Product Data Management System.
- Review information for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare assembly and detailed drawings based on information and instruction provided, including conceptual layouts and storyboarding operations.
- Deliver drawings within an appropriate timescale and to a high level of quality.
- Maintain knowledge of company standards and incorporate these into engineering design.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

- Experience with offshore equipment, particularly offshore wind equipment, is an advantage.
- Successful applicants will be based at our Edinburgh office.
- A clean UK driving licence is required.
- Willingness to travel for short periods of time should business needs require it.
