Canadian Natural Resources is hiring a GIS student for a full-time role with the Data, Analytics and Reporting team starting January 2027 in Calgary. As a GIS student in our Data, Analytics and Reporting team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with members of the Development Operations and Asset Retirement teams as we work together to build planning maps, manage data and so much more. 

  • Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
  • Work schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours per day (Monday – Friday)
  • Term length: 12 months or 8 months
  • Term start: January 2027
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the Development Operations and Asset Retirement teams by digitizing project surveys, collecting or filing of required spatial data, and the generation and programming of maps
  • Acquire hands-on experience with several widely used industry software programs including ArcGIS Pro, FME and Global Mapper
  • Gain exposure to various aspects of site operations including scouting, earthworks, and reclamation

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd year of a GIS program
  • Motivated, collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
