Etihad Airways is seeking a Driver (Ground Support Equipment) for full-time, on-site work in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering trips on schedule, daily vehicle inspections, minor maintenance and cleaning, safe transport of documents and valuables, and maintaining up-to-date licenses and records while upholding customer service, safety and quality standards and completing clear reports. Ideal candidates have a UAE driving license for 2+ years, 5 years of aviation experience including at least 2 in an operations or GSE driving role, strong English, PPE training, and an IPAF certificate. Job Description

• Executes all trips according to schedules, plans and assigned routes in order to meet on time performance.
• Carries out daily inspection of the vehicle to maintain trouble free operation. Report any faults or malfunctions of vehicles to supervisor to ensure immediate repairs are undertaken
• Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicles on a regular basis
• Ensure safe transportation, collection and delivery of various items, i.e. documents, spare parts, tools, cash and other valuables, etc.
• Maintains up to date all the required personal documentation to carry out the job, i.e. license, passes, etc.
• Completes necessary reports and records
• Strictly follows set standards and procedures and reports on any potential problems and issues
• Ensures compliance with all customer service, safety and quality standards
• Performs other adhoc support activities as required

Qualifications

• Holding valid UAE driving license for at least 2 years (light or heavy vehicles).
• Strong English communication skills
• Trained on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and their crucial part in daily GSE activities.
• Holding valid IPAF training certificate or license.
• Minimum of 5 years’ aviation experience including at least 2 years in a related position (Operations Driver or GSE Driver - Aircraft Maintenance).  
• Must be able to work nights and weekends, work under stress and be able to communicate in English.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
