JOB DESCRIPTION

Light Duty Driver

 

Qualification:             Minimum a high school passed

Experience of at least minimum 3 years as a driver and familiar with all locations in Dubai

Availability to take weekend and night shifts

A polite and professional disposition

Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations

 

 

 

Skills:                          Knowledge of reading and writing in English

                                      Familiarity with GPS devices/Google maps

                                    Physical strength and ability to lift materials along with co workers

                                   

                                     

                                     

 

 

 

 

Reports to:                  Site Engineer/Foreman

 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

The responsibilities of the Light Duty Driver include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Driving clients/Staffs/Laboure’s daily to their desired destinations
  • Proper communication with Supervisors and co workers
  • Ensure that all the instructions are clear before proceeding the works
  • Strictly follow company rules and regulations
  • Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean
  • Ensuring the vehicle documents are valid and available in the vehicle
  • Switch OFF the engine if the vehicle is not using and avoid Idle time
  • Using navigation apps to determine the best route
  • Record the trip sheet/ Vehicle log daily basis and handover to the site office without fail
  • Collect payments and issue receipts as per instructions
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and comfortable for all riders
  • Supporting the site people for loading and offloading of materials .
  • Periodically checking and schedule regular vehicle service appointments and report any issues.
  • Follow the safety rules and regulations .
