Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for a Driver / Operator to join our chip sealing team in Masterton, while this role is predominately driving this is a hands-on role where you’ll help deliver good work safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Safely carry out driver, plant operation, and general labouring tasks as directed by your Foreman or Supervisor.
  • Take part in pre-starts, risk planning, and speak up about hazards, controls, and safer ways of working.
  • Operate machinery, tools, and equipment only when trained, competent, and licensed to do so.
  • Support day-to-day site activities including lifting and shifting materials, using handheld equipment, and completing general site tasks.
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality processes, and report incidents, near misses, and improvement ideas.

Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with

  • Class 4 & WTR as a minimum, Class 5 would be an advantage
  • Ideally you will have experience working within chipseal crews
  • A practical, hands-on approach and comfort working outdoors in varying conditions.
  • A willingness to learn, follow instructions, and build new skills over time.
