Position Overview:

 As a member of the operations team, the Dust Mitigation Technician is responsible for mitigating secondary combustible dust. This position will exercise proper safety procedures, uphold all policies, standards, and Tolko values. The Dust Mitigation Technician will meet expectations and standards regarding dust containment and handling.

The Dust Mitigation Technician follows the dust mitigation pay for skills levels, completes regular inspections, and cleaning of equipment.  This position is required to complete daily check sheets. The Dust Mitigation Technician also identifies equipment and process deficiencies through regular mill condition monitoring and reports any findings to their supervisor.

 What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be able to work individually and as part of a team;
  • Commitment to working safely coupled with strong communication & interpersonal skills;  
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, in a physically demanding industrial environment;  
  • Ability to work in and become acclimatized to a hot environment while working at heights; the ability to work at height is fundamental to this role;
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
