Under the direction of the Cardiology Coordinator, the ECG technician will: Perform ECG’s using proper lead placement, Perform Holter monitor application, Update/Input patient data into the ECG machine/Heartstation PAC’s system, Maintain tracking documentation, and assist training of staff. The ECG technician responds to all Code 99 calls and stat pages. Works closely with Cardiology Coordinator and physicians to assure accurate test results.

Qualifications EDUCATION:
Minimum:
• High School graduate or equivalent education.
Preferred:
• Medical terminology course completion.


LICENSE:

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
• BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.


WORK EXPERIENCE:
Preferred:
• ECG experience.


SKILLS:
Minimum:
• Ability to perform the technical aspects of the position.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy.
Preferred:
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel.
