Job Description

We’re growing our eCommerce Category team, with multiple roles supporting The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery. These roles will bring our trading calendar to life online, creating and maintaining online landing pages and delivering key campaign and category priorities.

Reporting to our eCommerce category/brand leads, they’ll use customer and performance insights to continually optimise the online experience, respond to trading opportunities and drive stronger sales and conversion.  

WSL eCommerce Category Manager  

  • Develop and execute category growth plans with Warehouse Stationery Merchandise and Marketing teams. 
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver category and business objectives across our digital channels. 
  • Plan and optimise online promotions, events, and category calendars. 
  • Manage online category merchandising, content, and promotional visibility. 
  • Monitor performance, provide reporting, and identify improvement opportunities. 
  • Enhance online customer experience through improved search, navigation, filtering, and product discovery. 
  • Identify range gaps and drive online assortment expansion. 

eCommerce Category Specialist  

  • Support the cohort of eCommerce Category Managers and Senior eCommerce Category Managers, and delivery of eCommerce trading outcomes across assigned categories.  
  • Analyse category performance and identify actionable opportunities for growth.  
  • Assist in developing online trading and campaign plans with Marketing and Merchandise teams.  
  • Monitor stock flow and budget performance across categories.  
  • Coordinate the execution of online promotions, campaigns, and trading events.  
  • Maintain category planning calendars and support digital merchandising activities.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve trading goals and enhance customer experience. 

Qualifications

These roles are fully immersed in the world of ecommerce trading and merchandising! Online is always on, there is no playbook for keeping forefront – you’ll be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, embracing new ways of working, technology, customer/shopper behaviours and evolving as you go.  

Online trading experience/mindset, prior ecommerce / category management experience (for the category manager role), strong analytical and numerical skills, Excel & Google Analytics are all important technical skills. Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud an added bonus.  

Strong attention to detail, customer mindset, creative problem solving, stakeholder management, and equally important team player approach.
