ATT is hiring a Hamilton based electrical apprenticeship for on-site, full-time work. The role targets reliable, hands-on individuals with some job experience, a valid NZ driver’s license and dependable transport, a clean criminal record, and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests. Candidates should have an insight into the electrical trade, strong math (NCEA L2) and ideally physics, plus any pre‑trade or gateway placement is a bonus. In return you’ll receive a paid training wage, pay progression as skills grow, long-term career paths, mentorship from skilled tradespeople, PPE and a toolkit loan. You’ll need to:
• Be reliable – on time every time
• Have some job experience - whether that’s labouring experience, or holiday jobs
• Be good with your hands – you know how to use tools
• Have your driver’s license (Restricted or Full) with reliable transport to get to work
• Have a clean criminal record
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol tests
• Be a NZ permanent resident or citizen
• Have an insight into the Electrical trade. Very good at math (at least NCEA L2) and preferably have studied physics. Maybe you have completed an electrical pre-trade course or have completed an Electrical gateway placement while at school (but this is not mandatory)
