Electrical Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful commercial, institutional, retail, and industrial projects across Canada—while enjoying the flexibility of a hybrid work model.   If you’re passionate about electrical design, thrive in collaborative environments, and are looking to grow your career within a forward-thinking firm, we want to speak with you.   Key Responsibilities   In this role, you will play an integral part in the full electrical design and project delivery process, including:

• Designing and developing electrical systems for commercial, retail, institutional, and industrial buildings.
• Preparing detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Completing electrical construction drawing packages and supporting contract administration through construction.
• Conducting site reviews, load calculations (HV & LV), lighting design, lighting controls, power distribution, and fire alarm system design.
• Designing emergency power systems, security systems, and IT infrastructure.
• Coordinating with mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participating in utility coordination, negotiations, and ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Supporting project delivery from concept design through final construction review.

  Must-Have Qualifications  

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering/design within commercial, retail, institutional, or industrial sectors.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a Building Sciences / Electrical Engineering Technology diploma (equivalent international education accepted).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with electrical design software such as AGI32, ETAP, SKM (asset).
• Strong understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code and relevant building codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
