Stantec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our site team on a construction supervision project in Dubai. This full‑time, onsite role in Ras Al Khaimah requires a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years’ experience in design and project management, with must‑have DEWA, EWE and RTA approvals and experience working with supervision consultants. Key duties include designing electrical systems such as street lighting, power cables, substations and telecom, conducting site visits, preparing drawings and specifications, reviewing submittals, performing electrical calculations, and supporting construction and commissioning while maintaining quality. Stantec is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision project in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for various projects, including street lighting, power cables, substations, telecom
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess project requirements
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical systems
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions
• Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation
• Conduct electrical calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
• Perform quality control checks to ensure design and construction meet project requirements
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in electrical engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management
• Strong technical background
• Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems, products and materials
• Excellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel, Word)
• Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation
• Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements
• Complete project understanding in a given discipline, from start to hand-over.
• MUST HAVE experience in Street lighting, power cables, substations, telecom
• DEWA/EWE/RTA approval (MUST)
• MUST HAVE experience working with supervision consultants
• MUST HAVE full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the emirates of Dubai
• Valid driver's license (Preferred)
