Metro Trains Melbourne is hiring 2 Electrical Fitters for Westall Depot, full-time and onsite, to install, test, fault find, repair and maintain electrical systems on the suburban fleet so trains run safely and on time. You’ll need a trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter or Electrical Mechanic, a current driver’s license, and ideally at least five years in a similar role with project experience; rail or manufacturing exposure is a bonus. Show your ability to read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and apply safety policies with a collaborative mindset. In your application, tailor examples to project delivery and teamwork, highlight Safely Always alignment, and include transferable skills even if you don’t meet every criterion.

The Electrical Fitter – Fleet Projects performs a range of activities including the selection, installation, setting up, testing, fault finding, repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment on the Melbourne suburban train fleet vehicles to ensure the safe, reliable and on time running of the train fleet.
