Isar Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Harness Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join the Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control team in Ottobrunn, owning the Launch Vehicle harness lifecycle from architecture to production. You will design harnesses, translate system diagrams into complete electrical schematics, ensure EMI/EMC compliance, and collaborate with structures, propulsion, sensors and actuators to align interfaces and manufacturability. Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical or Capital and a strong track record in harness sizing, documentation, testing, and installation feasibility are essential, along with English fluency and cross‑disciplinary teamwork. Mission Brief
You will be an integral part of the Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) department, specifically the Harness & Structures team, that designs the complete Launch Vehicle harness in close collaboration with the in-house harnessing production team as well as all relevant stakeholders from other departments.
You will be the product owner of the Launch Vehicle Harnesses belonging to the next generation of our Launcher. You will own the lifecycle of it, manage associated interfaces and ensure delivery on time, budget and scope. Interdisciplinary tasks and fast paced R&D are your daily business, and you thrive in that kind of environment.
