Komatsu is seeking an experienced Electrician for mine coverage in Gillette, WY, full-time onsite to provide electrical mine support and troubleshooting on shovels, draglines and plant areas. The role demands 5+ years in motor controls, circuit installations, schematics, PLCs and digital drives, plus deep knowledge of resistively grounded systems, protective devices, delta-wye transformer connections, high voltage cable work and PLC troubleshooting. You must be MSHA and MSHA Qualified Electrician, have a valid driver’s license and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical. You’ll use meggers, cable fault locators and SCR testers, splice LV cables, and promote safety. Pay is $38.50-$40/hour with a company vehicle; tailor your resume to highlight concrete safety outcomes and on-site problem solving.

Komatsu Electrician will be responsible for providing electrical mine support and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting Expectations
Thorough knowledge of resistively grounded electrical systems.
Thorough knowledge of electrical protective devices and their use as well as how to configure such devices.
Ability to wire delta-wye and wye-delta transformer connections.
Ability to perform electric motor troubleshooting diagnostics.
Ability to understand PLC systems.
Ability to change high voltage power cables.
Ability to troubleshoot controls and power systems.
Understanding of analog, I/O used in plant control systems.
Ability to splice low voltage cables.
Knowledge in the use of various mine electrical test equipment.
Other Responsibilities
Moderate physical demand, continuously lifting or moving light weight to moderate weight materials and working in difficult work positions.
Assist customers and/or colleagues in troubleshooting and repairs on mining equipment.
Any other duties as appropriate and required.
Consistently promotes the Komatsu safety culture and works safely promoting the safety of coworkers.
EXPERIENCE: Over 5 years with motor controls, circuit installations, read and understand schematics, PLC’s, Digital Drives and general troubleshooting.
REQUIREMENTS: Current MSHA, MSHA Qualified Electrician, valid drivers license, and able to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical job requirements.
