The successful Electromechanically technician will work under the Maintenance Supervisor as part of a team responsible for optimizing the machinery output by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery.


Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, assemble, maintain and test industrial equipment (industrial and stationary engines, pumps and compressors (NH3) automated and robotic systems, electrical and electronic controls, power tools, fans and blowers, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems);
  • Locate, determine and diagnose malfunctions in the plant and perform repairs;
  • Plan work ahead to increase efficiency in doing repairs;
  • Report any specific findings, known problem or delays to supervisor;
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor

Qualifications and Education Experience

  • A high school diploma and vocational training or program are usually required.
  • Relevant manufacturing experience in a unionized environment an asset
  • Successfully complete internal testing.
  • Relevant industrial experience preferred, experience in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP/SQF standards an asset;
