ALTEN in Birmingham is seeking an Electronics Hardware Verification Engineer with 8+ years in safety critical environments to join the on-site hybrid team supporting aerospace and defence programs. You will verify analogue and digital hardware, power electronics and embedded systems, develop verification strategies and test procedures aligned with DO-254 and DO-160 (E to G), perform functional environmental and high-voltage tests, and support system integration with robust documentation and compliance evidence. The role requires full lifecycle experience and collaboration with PCB designers, thermal and systems engineers, plus familiarity with MATLAB, LTSpice, and Cadence or Altium. As a Hardware Electronics Verification Engineer, you will join the Birmingham team to support our activities within the aerospace and defence sector.
Working as a consultant for ALTEN, you will play a key role in the verification and validation of safety critical electronic hardware, supporting complex control and data systems used in high-integrity aerospace and industrial applications. This role offers exposure to advanced electronics, rigorous standards, and full lifecycle development in a regulated environment.
