Hydro Extrusions in Yankton, SD is offering a 3- or 6-month on-site Engineering Intern/Co-op for students in an ABET-accredited Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering program. The role focuses on improving production processes, collaborating across maintenance, reliability, environmental and quality teams, with projects tailored to your strengths and the company’s needs, including material flow management. You’ll work Monday through Friday 7 am to 4 pm, with benefits like monthly profit sharing, housing allowance, and relocation support. What you will be doing

This position will support improvement of the current production processes through respecting our teammates and their safety, supporting new breakthroughs with your skills and personality and achieving assigned goals by collaborating with team members (internal and external) as a key contributor to our established competencies.

Engineering Intern/Co-op (3 months or 6 months)
Shifts Available and Hours: 
Days Shift, Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm     

What will make you successful?

• Enrolled at ABET accredited program, preference towards Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering. (required)
• Work with different departments on both general and specific projects, such as maintenance, reliability, environmental, sustainability/profitability improvement, quality, etc.
• Specific projects will be coordinated with the candidate’s skill set for maximum synergy of the employee’s focus area and company needs.
• Industrial Engineering student will have projects for material flow management improvement.
• Present improvements or opportunities as well as new projects.
