Anglo American Australia In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in manganese, as well as copper exploration projects under way in North West Queensland. Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.
As a key member of our Site Leadership Team, the Engineering and Maintenance Manager will be accountable for the delivery of the annual maintenance and engineering targets, oversee statutory obligations with zero harm to employees and contractors, including technical advice to the General Manager and Site Leadership Team on means to optimise equipment availability, performance and reliability.
This role will require you to provide effective leadership of the engineering and maintenance team to develop and implement plans, monitor performance, and complete work activities in accordance with corporate policy and procedures.
