Bechtel is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Coordinator for the Kilns 3 & 4 project, based in Warrington with travel to Capenhurst. This part-time telework role requires three days in person and will involve supporting the Environment, Sustainability, Permitting and Consents Manager to secure licenses and consents, develop and implement the Sustainability Management Plan, and track KPIs. You'll manage environmental data, incidents and risks, coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams, and assist with land use planning consents. A bachelor’s degree in a related field and knowledge of UK planning policy are required, along with SC clearance. The Project is the expansion of an existing process facility located on a Nuclear site in Capenhurst, Cheshire (UK). The facility is being expanded in response to changing market dynamics and will provide a major component of UK’s energy security strategy.
The Project scope currently includes overseeing the delivery of FEED and co-ordinating the delivery of design deliverables to facilitate construction contract award. Subject to successful completion of FEED, there is the potential for a follow-on EPCM contract to be awarded for the main works contract.
The role will initially be based at the project design office (Warrington), however travel to the project site (Capenhurst) will also be required. Flexibility in work location currently includes a minimum of three days per week in person attendance at project premises. The role will require full time in-person attendance on project site premises upon the commencement of site activity.
Candidates will have or must be able to obtain an SC security clearance.
