Job Purpose:

The Environmental Test Engineer assists in planning, executing, and analyzing environmental tests to ensure UAV components and systems can withstand various operational conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, vibration, dust, and electromagnetic environments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up and executing environmental tests under supervision.​
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of test equipment and instrumentation.​
  • Collect and document test data, noting any anomalies or deviations.​
  • Participate in preliminary analysis of test results.​

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience in environmental testing, preferably in aerospace, UAV, or military systems.
  • Training: Certification in environmental testing, aerospace standarts, familiarity with military or aerospace protocols is preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of environmental testing techniques such as temperature/humidity cycling, vibration testing, shock testing, dust/water ingress testing, and EMC/EMI testing.​
  • Familiarity with environmental test equipment (e.g., temperature chambers, vibration tables, humidity chambers, EMI/EMC test equipment).​
  • Exposure to data acquisition systems and test software (e.g., LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python) for monitoring and recording test data.​
  • Awareness of environmental qualification standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160).​
  • Ability to assist in failure analysis and work with design teams on corrective actions.​
