The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Transportation Equipment Operator join to our Transportation team in Thompson. Relocation will be required for this role.
The role is a permanent position.
As a Transportation Equipment Operator, you will operate a variety of mobile service equipment to safely transport materials, supplies, equipment, and personnel across multiple sites. You will play a key role in maintaining roadways, lots, and rail beds while supporting site operations through the safe movement of materials and equipment. Your experience and skills will contribute to the efficient operation of our transportation services and help maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Additionally, in this position you will:
· Operate heavy and light trucks, loaders, graders, vacuum trucks, boom trucks, forklifts, bulldozers, skid steers, and other mobile equipment.
· Transport materials, supplies, equipment, dangerous goods, and personnel between various site locations.
· Perform roadway maintenance activities including snow removal, grooming, haulage, and material spreading on roads, lots, and rail beds.
· Operate vacuum trucks for clean-up and movement of products throughout the plant.
· Complete pre-operational checks, service mobile equipment, and report mechanical irregularities.
· Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean working condition and perform minor repairs and maintenance as required.

About You
Education:
· High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
· Valid driver's licence appropriate for operating site vehicles and mobile equipment.
Experience:
· Experience operating heavy mobile equipment in an industrial, mining, construction, transportation, or similar environment.
Skills:
· Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
· Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles.
· Basic equipment inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills.
· Effective communication and teamwork skills.
