External Job Description
As an ERP Process Engineer, you will work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, quality, and IT teams to analyze operational workflows, improve business processes, and support the implementation and enhancement of enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Analysis
- Analyze and evaluate manufacturing processes, including production, planning, inventory management, engineering, and quality functions.
- Conduct workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather business requirements.
- Perform gap analysis between current and future-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Translate business requirements into ERP and PLM system solutions.
- Configure and support ERP/PLM modules related to production, bill of materials (BOM), routing, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing
- operations.
- Support system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and continuous enhancements.
- Ensure seamless integration between ERP, PLM, MES, and supply chain systems.
Product Lifecycle & Data Management
- Support product lifecycle processes including design, development, engineering change management, and product release.
- Maintain and optimize product structures, BOMs, and engineering data.
- Develop and improve workflows supporting product development and change control activities.
Training & Change Management
- Develop training materials, user guides, and process documentation.
- Deliver end-user training and provide post-go-live support.
- Promote best practices and drive user adoption of new technologies and processes.
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Provide functional support and troubleshooting for ERP and PLM systems.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Lead initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and operational excellence.
Stakeholder & Project Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and IT.
- Support project planning, testing, deployment, and change management activities.
- Communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- 5–8+ years of experience in ERP and/or PLM consulting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience delivering ERP/PLM implementation or transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including MRP, production planning, BOM management, routing, and inventory control.
- Experience with leading ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Knowledge of ERP, PLM, MES, and manufacturing system integrations is highly desirable.
- SAP experience will be considered a strong advantage.
