About the role

This is a 6-month fixed-term support role created to provide extra capacity during a busy period and whilst we review the longer term CAB strategy, helping the team maintain a high standard of delivery across a full programme of activity.

You will support the planning and delivery of events across Corporate Affairs & Brand, including colleague engagement events, leadership events, campaign activations, partnership activity, media moments, policy engagement events and responsible business or volunteering activity.

The role involves working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, helping to coordinate logistics, suppliers and day-to-day administration so events are well run, well organised and professionally delivered.

  • Support a wide range of events, including colleague engagement activity, leadership events, campaign activations, partnership events, media-facing moments and volunteering activity linked to BT Group’s responsible business agenda.
  • Carry out event administration tasks including venue research and booking, meeting room coordination, guest lists, joining instructions, catering requests and merchandise orders.
  • Raise and track purchase orders, manage invoices and support budget administration, working carefully and accurately to make sure suppliers are set up and paid on time.
  • Work with internal teams and external suppliers to confirm logistics, timings, materials and requirements, building positive working relationships and helping solve practical issues quickly.
  • Support on-the-day delivery where needed, helping events run smoothly for speakers, attendees, partners and stakeholders.
  • Maintain clear trackers, planning documents and shared updates so the wider team has an accurate view of progress, actions and deadlines.
  • Where capacity allows, support related team activity such as planning, coordination or people-focused work during quieter periods.

Look for ways to improve how event activity is organised and delivered, bringing a helpful, proactive approach and a strong eye for detail.

  • Confidence working with internal colleagues and external suppliers in a professional and helpful way.
  • Experience handling practical administration such as bookings, schedules, trackers, invoices or purchase orders.
  • A proactive attitude, good judgement and a willingness to help solve problems calmly and quickly.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
