The Executive Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Chief Legal Officer and Chief People Officer. This role delivers high-touch, strategic support across executive operations in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The ideal candidate has prior experience supporting Legal and People leaders, a strong understanding of both functions, and the ability to manage complex processes, enable cross-functional alignment, and handle confidential information with discretion. This role thrives in an environment where priorities shift, ambiguity exists, and sound judgment and adaptability are critical to success.

Serving as a primary point of contact, you will help executives stay focused on business priorities by managing internal and external requests and driving the appropriate next steps. You will be a trusted partner, anticipating the needs of both the executive and the organization while demonstrating professionalism, discretion, and empathy.

What You’ll Do

  • Own comprehensive administrative support for the CLO and CPO, including full calendar and inbox management, meeting coordination, and event planning.
  • Support Legal operations across billing, matter management, litigation, and coordination with internal teams and external counsel.
  • Support People Operations across planning, budgeting, and financial tracking; manage team cadence, meeting rhythms, and cross-functional coordination to execute key People initiatives such as offsites and quarterly events.
  • Act as a trusted partner to C-suite leaders, exercising sound judgment to prioritize requests, make decisions, and represent executives confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the CLO and CPO’s direct reports and cross-functional teams to drive alignment, operational efficiency, and process improvements across the Legal and People organizations.
  • Build empathetic relationships with ease, maintaining strong situational awareness of team culture and morale while helping executives recognize key milestones and achievements.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years supporting a General Counsel or senior legal executives, and Chief People Officers; 10+ years preferred.
  • Experience supporting multiple executives simultaneously.
  • Experience in Legal operations, such as matter management systems and litigation support. Paralegal experience or paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Experience supporting People operations, including budgeting processes, team cadence management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism, protecting confidential information and representing stakeholders effectively both internally and externally.
  • Experience in startup, high-growth environments preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work in person four days per week in our San Francisco office.

Salary Range: $135,000 - $170,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
