BT Group is seeking an Executive Communications Lead to deliver high quality executive communications with a primary focus on the Chief Executive, ensuring full alignment with BT’s corporate narrative. Reporting to the Corporate Affairs and Transformation Director, you will draft speeches, briefings, presentations and social content, coordinating with Investor Relations, Public Affairs and internal teams to maintain a consistent tone and a joined up story. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can translate complex business issues into clear narratives for employees, investors and policymakers, and who can manage the CEO speaker programme in a fast paced, multi stakeholder environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality executive communications, with a primary focus on supporting the Chief Executive, ensuring full alignment with BT Group’s wider corporate narrative and activity.
Reporting to the Corporate Affairs and Transformation Director, the Executive Communications Lead will develop and deliver speeches, briefings, presentations, social media posts and written materials that clearly articulate BT Group’s strategy, performance and priorities. This role will support executive communications across the group, including direct support for the CEO. Success will depend on close alignment with Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, Public Affairs and internal and external communications teams to ensure a consistent and joined-up story across the business.
The successful candidate will be a strong writer and content creator, capable of producing high-quality materials at pace and to a consistently high standard. They will translate complex business issues into clear, compelling narratives tailored to different audiences, including employees, investors, policymakers and partners.
Working closely with the Head of the Chief Executive’s Office, the role holder will support planning and delivery of CEO engagements and contribute to the effective management of the CEO’s speaker programme. They will also collaborate across teams to develop materials for other senior leaders where required, ensuring consistency of messaging and tone.
This role requires excellent judgement, attention to detail and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders. It will suit someone who combines strong writing and delivery capability with practical, collaborative working, and who is comfortable operating as part of a broader Corporate Affairs ecosystem.
