External Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) 

 

As an External Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d), you are pivotal in ensuring seamless product availability for our Pharmaceuticals portfolio by managing the supply chain planning with external contract manufacturing partners (CMOs). You will drive the operational implementation of end-to-end supply chain strategies, focusing on inventory management and risk management for existing portfolio and new product launches. Your role is essential in steering business operations with CMOs, ensuring operational readiness, and contributing to global product replenishment. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • You play a pivotal role in our CMO governance as the Supply Chain Management contact in a cross-functional team with External Supply Management, Quality, Procurement, and others
  • You own supply chain operations for the assigned CMO, providing production plans, ensuring timely supply of materials, and placing purchase orders
  • You ensure correctness and consistency of supply planning-related master data and planning parameters in relevant systems
  • You enable timely and correct setup of new supply points in relevant IT systems for planning, execution, and product change management
  • You constantly strive to increase process and systems capabilities in the community

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

  • You hold a degree in supply chain, engineering, computer science, economics, or a related field
  • You bring experience in supply chain, procurement, quality, R&D, operations, or commercial roles, preferably in Life Sciences or FMCG environment
  • You have demonstrated a strategic, analytical, and achievement-oriented mindset; strong data management and analysis skills
  • You are an adaptable problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change
  • You are proficient with supply chain software, process automation, and data quality standards
  • You have excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and collaboration skills
  • You bring knowledge of legal, regulatory, and GMP compliance requirements in the pharmaceutical environment
  • You champion teamwork, continuous improvement, and value stream optimization
  • You are skilled in leveraging GenAI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for planning, automation, and productivity
  • You are fluent in English, with German and Spanish being a plus
